Mobile Animation
Monday, September 8, 2008
Posted by WenkaiMobile Animation was an animation designed to be played on cellphones, and sent via the Vodafone network to other cellphones.
The animation explored the pathway it takes when travelling through the network to reach the other cellphone destination.
Upon completion of this animation, I sent it to several cellphones through the network and watched them play the animation through each cellphone.

Seeing The Invisible
In this project, I was exploring the idea of seeing the invisible along the subject line of Wireless Communication.
In the work, I had a running loop of a popular area filled with people continously walking by the camera.
The people and background was rendered into a specific sillouhetted color with the wireless lines running from each person representing the cellphone reception everyone carried.
When this footage was looked through a big sheet of specific red coloured gel, the colour of the footage changed, and the wireless signals also disappeared.
This investigated the invisible signals, and what surrounds us daily that we are not really aware of as we don't see it.

Live Feed Human Interaction
Saturday, September 6, 2008
Posted by WenkaiIn this experiment towards the end of year project, I am investigating the breaking down of an image through Human Interaction.
In the first image, it is a projection of a live feed of someone interacting with the projection
This is an overlay of the live feed over another footage to experiment with the manipulation and break down of the image through the interaction of the viewer.
Note the break down is only where the placement of the viewer is.
The idea of breaking down into pixels is only evident within the range of the body of where the viewer is.
Therefore the break down of the image is directly related and controlled by the viewer's interaction

Euology 06
Jewellery by Madamelle
Eulogy explores the idea of the ring, to frame and contain the finger,
resembling completeness, a gift, a symbol, public and private space.
The images that we project and those that we contain as private.
Eulogy is a dedication to the memory of my Grandmother.

The Cake Tin/ The Magic Box project
Monday, August 25, 2008
Posted by Anonymous
The Cake Tin is a visual and audio experiment towards my end of year installation Magic Box.
An explosion of staking tea cups, tea parties and presents of biscuits wrapped in butter wrapper. The Cake Tin explores the memory of my grandmothers cake tin that permanently lived on the bench, and was regularly filled with freshly baked goodness. The magic that it seemed to possess and contain, and the excitement of opening this little treasure chest.
'Chests especially small caskets, over which we may have more complete mastery, are objects that may be opened.' (Bachelard,Gaston, The Poetics Of Space, p 85)
With this explosion of thought, tiredness and sore feet from my new boots I came up with this.

Fragments Of Issabella/The Magic Box Project

Posted by Anonymous
Fragments of Issabella is a visual experiment towards my end of year installation Magic Box
A work in procress that is bassed on preserving the memory of my Grandparents, two incredible people who really influenced me and my practice. Magic Box is a memento of them, but also pays tribute to the era that they came from, the era of the hand made, to make do and mend.
